At the core of wealth management is the building of a realistic retirement and cash flow plan that a client can effectively implement. We build out comprehensive scenario analysis, incorporating various saving and spending levels, rate of returns on investments, college savings and tax rate scenarios. We do this at the beginning of the process to help clients understand where they are at relative to their stated life and financial goals. The retirement and cash flow scenarios act as the baseline for the rest of the financial plan so clients can clearly understand their role and responsibilities in executing their plan. Life is all about choices - retirement and cash flow scenario analysis helps frame these choices in a way that is real and tangible.
INVESTMENT and PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
Successful investing is the cornerstone of reaching your financial goals. Too many investors make short-term, impulsive investment decisions, usually with dismal consequences. This is where we come in, instilling discipline and structure to the approach, monitoring and ongoing management of your investments.
At Trinity, we custom-design portfolios with the objective of helping clients preserve and grow their wealth. Tailoring our portfolios to your specific goals, risk tolerance and time horizon, we create globally diversified, low-cost, flexible portfolios.
At the core of our portfolios, we are one of a select group of firms authorized to provide our clients with access to Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) investment funds. We supplement the core DFA holdings with the best Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) and managed funds available and appropriate for each client.
Taxes do matter and must be taken into consideration in constructing and managing portfolios. Therefore, in addition to investment selection, we also utilize tax efficient security selection, tax loss harvesting disciplines and tax wise asset location decisions to maximize our clients net, after tax returns.
INSURANCE and RISK MANAGEMENT
Most clients do not think about Risk Management as a key component of their financial plan, but it should not be overlooked. We can provide unbiased assessment of your insurance coverages and make recommendations where gaps or shortfalls exist, coordinating with your insurance agent to ensure issues are addressed. Depending on your situation, risk management issues may have direct ties into your estate plan as well. Again, when requested, we can help coordinate the components of your financial plan - including risk management and estate plan issues – so that they can remain properly aligned.
When requested to do so, we can coordinate with your attorney - helping them, as requested, to align your investment and asset ownership with your estate plan to minimize taxes and facilitate asset transfers as desired. In addition, we can assist your attorney in carrying out plans to align your investments for planned family giving as well as strategies to reduce inter-generational taxes.
We derive great satisfaction in helping our clients incorporate charitable giving into their plans - helping our clients invest in what matters most to them. There are a number of strategies that can be implemented to assist them in carrying out their gifting intentions in the most tax efficient manner possible. This may include setting up a personal charitable fund in the family's name known as a Donor Advised Fund (DAF).
